A hair mask. You mean conditioner?
Not necessarily. A hair conditioner is generally used to provide moisture to the hair. Conditioners make the hair look smooth and shiny. A hair mask on the other hand, works as a protective barrier, shielding the hair from an aggressive external environment. Over time hair masks make hair more shiny and silky, they restore, hydrate, nourish and moisturize. The use of a hair mask depends on the condition of the hair itself. There are numerous types of hair masks for treating discolored, damaged, and dry, hair. As well as masks for oily scalp and dandruff. Below are two tried and true hair masks.
